Chito S. Roño's adaptation of Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan has found its streaming home with Prime Video.

The announcement comes from Black Sheep's tweet: "Nakakakilabot, nakakagimbal, at mapapaisip! Malapit [nang] mabuklat ang mga mensahe ni Mama Susan!"

They have also attached this spooky one-sheet.

Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan is based on an epistolary horror novella written by Bob Ong. It's a brisk read, written from the POV of the main character, Galo, who writes in his journal a sinister discovery about his hometown and his grandmother, Mama Susan.

The casting, at least with the principal characters, is pretty much spot-on: Joshua Garcia plays Galo. Angie Fierro plays Mama Susan.

The film will stream on May 18th, 2023, with Amazon Prime Video. No talks about a theatrical run as of this writing.
