Dolly De Leon and Kathryn Bernardo charge headfirst in a clash of wit and schemes in Petersen Vargas’ latest film, A Very Good Girl. The first teaser for the film has just dropped this week.
The teaser shows the type of feud between two self-made women (played by De Leon and Bernardo) that the film has cooking. It hints at the fact that the film might tip over to darker moments — a familiar territory for Vargas, whose previous projects include 2 Cool 2 Be 4Gotten and How to Die Young in Manila.
This is an interesting project for both Bernardo and De Leon, with the former being cast mainly in love tandem-led rom-coms, and the latter having sort of a homecoming moment after her auspicious showing in Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness.
The film is slated for a nationwide release on September 27th.
